On May 22-23, the annual Shopping Center Manager's Congress, organized by the Russian Council of Shopping Centers, took place. ECE Russland COO Alina Strelkova spoke as part of the event’s business program.
Shopping Center Manager's Congress is a two-day conference for expert community representatives to address the issues related to the management and operation of shopping centers.
This year, the congress subject was “The Ideal Manager: Know-Hows and Skills.” Within three sessions on the first day, experts discussed building the relations with owners and tenants, as well as creating an efficient team.
During the first session, ECE Russland COO Alina Strelkova spoke on the principles of successful interaction with facility owners, as well as on the role of a professional managing company in increasing the capitalization of facility and the key indicators of shopping centers. Under ECE Russland governance, the traffic in MARi shopping center increased by 60%, sales turnover – by 48%, Alina Strelkova said.
“This was facilitated by opening stores of famous brands, such as Gloria Jeans and H&M, as well as Raketa fitness club in early 2017, which increased the attendance by 800 visitors per day. Also, we held a number of specific events: Dancing in Maryino, Ecomarket, Street Culture Festival. All this created an extra flow of proactive young audience to shopping centers and increased the attractiveness of the facility,” the expert said.
As part of the second day of the congress, expert community representatives focused on efficient marketing strategies and using new technologies in the management of shopping centers.
This year, participants of the Shopping Center Manager's Congress included representatives of JLL, LCM Consulting, Immochan, TPS Real Estate, Shopping Mall Aviapark, Leonardo hypermarket chain, Salaris shopping center, City Malls and PFM, Krasny Kit shopping center, and others.
