Head of RD Group’s Representative Office in Russia Roman Tkachenko spoke yesterday at the conference “Growth of Development Project in the New Economic Environment”.
The conference “Growth of Development Projects in the New Economic Environment” is being held as a part of the annual international commercial real estate exhibition REX-2014. The event is organized by the journal Mall.
At the conference Roman Tkachenko presents the Romanov Alley project as an example of the creation of a retail zone on a pedestrian street. Mr. Tkachenko noted the key component in the success of street retail tenants in pedestrian zones is a well-thought-through concept. “Prior to the creation of Moscow’s first gastronomic street, large scale marketing research was conducted as well as surveys of the local residents and students of Moscow State University,” the expert explained.
Roman’s position on the importance of the concept in a project’s success was also supported by other speakers at the conference session, which was devoted to “Formats of Retail Real Estate Today: The Developer’s Choice and the Consumer’s Choice”. The other speakers included representatives of such companies as Rose Group, MR Group, Fashion House Group, Praktika Development and Binvest Group.
ABOUT ROMANOV ALLEY
Romanov Alley is a pedestrian zone in old Moscow situated between Mokhovaya Street and Romanov Pereulok only 500 meters from the Kremlin. Romanov Alley will become a sort of gastronomic street: the street-level premises will host restaurants offering European cuisine, cafes, meat shops, wine and chocolate boutiques as well as culinary schools and kitchen supply stores.
The project’s investor is the Luxembourg company Moscow Construction and Development.
