The leading English-language newspaper in Russia – The Moscow Times – published an article about the opening of the first international boarding school in the CIS UWC Dilijan College in Armenia, which was built by RD Group.
The official opening ceremony for the international school in October was attended by Armenian President Serge Sargsyan and approximately 1000 other guests.
The Moscow Times writes that British architectural firm Tim Flynn Architects and the Moscow-based RD Group created an educational complex which blends in with the surrounding mountain landscape. The total volume of investment needed for the project is estimated at $190 million, with $115 million already invested by the time of the opening.
Today 96 students are studying at UWC College Dilijan, with 10% of them coming from Armenia, 10% from Russia and the remaining 80 percent – from other countries, spanning Swaziland to Australia, The Moscow Times reports.
