The luxury-class retail center Dream House, which is one of RD Group’s assets, is hosting an exhibit of bicycles of the American retro brand Electra.
The model line is on display and on sale at the exposition near the south entrance of Dream House. The exhibit will continue through the end of September.
A CAR-FREE CITY
The promotion of bicycle use in Moscow is one of the top priorities of the municipal authorities. The path to achieving a more comfortable atmosphere for bicyclists in the capital was discussed at a conference called “City Planning. Transport Aspects: Russian and International Experience” organized by Moscow’s urban planning institute Genplan and held on July 23, 2013.
FROM CYCLISTS TO PEDESTRIANS
During the conference’s session “Ecological Types of Transport: Tramway, bicycle and pedestrian traffic in the city,” there was a presentation of Romanov Alley, Moscow’s first gastronomic street. The investor of the Romanov Alley project is the Luxembourg-based Moscow Construction and Development. RD Group (part of RD Group) is the general designer and general contractor.
The creation of pedestrian zones, along with the popularization of bicycle transport, is an important phase in the formation of the modern urban environment. Romanov Alley – a unique pedestrian street in the very center of Moscow, only 500 meters from the Kremlin – was selected by experts for presentation at Genplan’s conference as one of the best examples of the organization of public space.
