Expert Communications at Urban Talks in Romanov Dvor

On November 18, 2015 Romanov Dvor Business Quarters is hosting the Urban Talks expert forum on “The Peripheries and Provinces: What Can We Offer in Our Struggle for Existence?”.

The event is organized by the Moscow Urban Forum and sponsored by RD Group. The discussion in the format of Urban Talks seeks to address the issues of the development of New Moscow and small Russian towns. 

Expert will discuss ways to ensure that the territories connected to Moscow become an example of a modern approach to building a quality and sought-after environment; ways to encourage the fulfillment of the human potential in small and medium-size inhabited areas to prevent the population from leaving them, etc.

During the Urban Talks gathering, attendees will also take a look at the development of small and medium-size towns through a number of examples to learn from. In particular, one of the presentations will explore the experience of revitalizing the town of Dilijan in Armenia into a world famous place through its appealing and culturally important projects, where the development is driven by the recently built international school UWC Dilijan College.

Among the participants of the discussion are Marat Khusnullin (Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction), Sergey Kuznetsov (Chief Architect of Moscow), Vladimir Zhidkin (Head of the Department for the Development of New Territories), Grigory Revzin (Partner at KB Strelka), Bart Goldhoorn (Director of the Institute for Open Urbanism), Sergei Tchoban (Head of SPEECH Architectural Bureau) and other experts.

Drawing on the example of Dilijan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RD Group Gagik Adibekyan and Co-founder of the RVVZ Family Foundation Ruben Vardanyan will speak about the educational and cultural drivers of the territory development.
