Romanov Dvor Business Quarter took part in the largest worldwide eco event Earth Hour organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

On March 19, from 08.30 pm to 09.30 pm (local time), the environmental event Earth Hour ran worldwide. This year 178 countries participated in the event. As part of the event, the lights of the most famous buildings and architectural monuments go off as a symbol of commitment to the future of the planet.

Romanov Dvor Business Quarter participated in the global eco event for the first time: the external lights of the shopping center buildings and adjacent area were turned off during one hour.

To remind, Romanov Dvor Business Quarter was built in compliance with the international ecological standards BREEAM. In 2013, the complex became the first facility in Russia certified in accordance with the updated standard BREEAM In-Use International, which confirms compliance of the project with the global environmental safety standards for class A business centers.

In total, 178 countries supported the movement Earth Hour. On Saturday, once again, the lights of many famous sights went off, including Big Ben in London, Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family in Barcelona, Sydney Opera House, Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Acropolis in Athens, St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican, Eiffel Tower in Paris, Empire State Building and Times Square in New York, etc.

In Moscow, 1,500 buildings switched off their external lights, including the Kremlin, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Seven Sisters (Stalin Skyscrapers), Luzhniki, most buildings in Novy Arbat, Tverskaya Street, Leningradsky Avenue, Mira Avenue, buildings of stations, bridges, Ostankino Tower and many other facilities.

Romanov Dvor Business Quarter is located in direct proximity to the Kremlin in Romanov Lane and fully corresponds to the status of a premium class facility of office real estate. EARTH HOUR

Earth Hour is an annual international environmental event launched in 2007. Under its conditions, people worldwide turn off the light and electric appliances to symbolize their caring attitude towards the nature. Moscow joined this movement in 2009.
