Dmitry Letov, development director of RD Group holding, spoke at the annual REFF forum

RREF, the 16th Russian Forum of Leaders of the Real Estate Market was opened in Moscow yesterday. For three days the representatives of the largest development, building and real estate companies as well as leading banking structures will discuss the current situation on the residential property market of the Moscow region and evaluate the prospects for its development.

Dmitry Letov took part in the round table on a topic “Is architecture only for wealthy people? Yes and No. Experts’ opinion”. The round table was organized by the Institute of urban studies. During the discussion, the experts mentioned that reasonable architectural solutions play an important role in the construction of projects of different classes (elite, business or economy class).

Dmitry Letov believes that the project’s success is determined by the professional and coordinated work of an architect and a developer. “Architects often come up with creative ideas and new solutions, which are not always effective in terms of profitability of the future project. Developer’s aim is to determine the customer’s needs and create a quality product that will be commercially successful, comfortable for living and reasonable in terms of the price”, - Dmitry says.

Roundtable attendees also discussed the latest trends in architecture of residential property and buyers' requirements. They compared Western and Russian experience in project implementation. Dmitry Kotrovsky, partner of the Khimki Group, Hasan Arkhulaev, CEO of the Sezar Group Holding, and other market experts took part in the discussion.
