Romanov Dvor Sees a Premonition of Color

Zur Liste der Nachrichten

The exhibition Premonition of Color, based on the works of artist Sergei Belov, has opened at the art gallery of the Romanov Dvor business center. The works include both pencil drawings and watercolors.

Through simple black and white pencil work, the artist makes the viewer see yellow tulips, purple violets and blue skies… The watercolors are bright, rich and filled with emotions. The titles of the works tell the viewers that practically anything can become the inspiration for a piece of art – a phrase, gesture, recollection, impression from a trip, book or film.

“It is difficult to create and draw such compositions; some things which are connected to our lives fall into oblivion and become incomprehensible… Other things remain but they assume different meaning and sometimes even symbolic substance,” said Sergei Belov, sharing his impressions.

The exhibit will continue through March 12 at the art gallery of the Romanov Dvor business center. Entrance is free of charge.
