A memorial event held by the AFFA Charity Foundation and RD Group Holding in April 2015 in Armenia has been shortlisted for the Red Tie National Award in the Business Travel Events category.
The Red Tie Awards ceremony will take place in Moscow on October 30. Each year the jury is presented with companies’ events in the following categories: Corporate Events, Business Events, Special Events, Social and Public Events, Business Travel Events.
Apart from RD Group, this year’s participants include Sberbank of Russia, SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management, Kaspersky Lab, Microsoft, Sibur, Svyaznoy, and others.
For the Red Tie Award, RD Group Holding nominated an event that was held in Masis, Armenia, on April 11, 2015 as a sign of gratitude to the countries that have recognized the Armenian Genocide. The event went was under the motto “Memory. Gratitude. Faith in the Future.” It was organized by the AFFA Charity Foundation and RD Group Holding.
The aim of this event was not only the enlightenment of the younger generation of Armenia, but also a demonstration of the scale of global recognition of the Armenian Genocide and an expression of gratitude to the countries that have recognized the fact of mass killings of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire in 1915–1923.
The event in Masis welcomed 4,000 people, including President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan, President of the AFFA Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of RD Group Gagik Adibekyan, the higher clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Mayor of Masis Sasha Akopyan, political and public figures from Russia and Armenia, residents of the town. The event was also attended by journalists from Russia, Luxembourg, France, Germany, and Armenia.
This memorial event in Masis received over 100 articles and coverage videos on TV channels of Luxembourg, France, Germany, Russia, and Armenia mass media.
