Interfax upon RD Management study

Interfax, the leading Russian news agency, wrote about the results of the RD Management study of the certification of buildings in accordance with the international environmental standards. The analysis of the current situation was presented by Aleksandr Ustinov at the press breakfast for journalists on May 20.

Aleksandr Ustinov, Business Development Director for RD Management, told the journalists about the conducted research, which shows that over the next 3 years the number of commercial properties in Russia certified according to BREEAM In-Use environmental standard may increase by 50%.

For property owners “green” certificate will become a key indicator of the quality of the object. RD Management experts assessed objects of commercial and residential real estate, as well as socially significant projects located in Russia and abroad.

Referring to Aleksandr Ustinov, Interfax informs, that there are 94 objects in Russia certified according to “green” standards (BREEAM and LEED). As for the distribution of “green” buildings, the majority of the objects certified according to BREEAM and LEED, is located in Moscow and Moscow Region: 57 objects. St. Petersburg contains the second highest number of “green” buildings in Russia: 18 objects. Sochi, Russia closes the top three of the Russian leaders: 7 certified buildings.

Romanov Dvor business center was the first in Russia to receive an Excellent score according to BREEAM In-Use standards. The performance of RD Management was assessed in accordance with the world ecological safety standards for the A class business centers and the company received the highest mark in the market – 84%.
