Romanov Dvor is hosting a photography exhibition devoted to the history of Moscow's oldest neighbourhood, Quarter 41, where the business center itself is located.

The exhibition opened on 8 February in the inner court at the Romanov Dvor business center. RD Group Marketing Director Luiza Ulanovskaya and Elena Vartanova, Dean of Moscow State University's Faculty of Journalism, whose building is a major architectural feature of Quarter 41, gave official speeches.

The exhibition tells the history of the very heart of the capital, where every building has a unique story, which visitors can learn about from the stunning photographs and their information panels.

Many famous scientists, artists, writers and politicians have lived in the neighbourhood, which is also home to university facilities and one of Russia's first museums.

The exhibition features 21 stands with photographs of Quarter 41's historic buildings and monuments: old streets – Mokhovaya Ulitsa, Ulitsa Vozdvizhenka and Bolshaya Nikitskaya Ulitsa – and well-known churches – the Church of Saint Tatiana the Martyr, and the Church of Our Lady of the Sign.

In addition, the images and their information panels tell the story of famous buildings, such as Talyzin House, Orlov-Meshchersky House, Razumovsky-Sheremetev House, the Kliment Timiryazev Memorial Museum, the Kremlin Hospital, and more.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the history of one of Moscow University's oldest properties and its buildings, which are now occupied by its faculties of journalism and arts.
