The internet portal Comestate.ru asked the leading experts of the commercial real estate market to comment on the current market situation and provide their prognosis for its development. Roman Tkachenko shared his assessment.
The portal notes that the economic crisis in Russia has had a very negative impact on the commercial real estate market.
According to Roman Tkachenko, Head of the Representative Office of RD Group in Russia, in 2014 a rather large volume of office premises entered the market, which drove up vacancy rates in this segment. “The second factor negatively impacting the office real estate market was the weakening of the national currency,” the expert notes. “However, the unstable situation on the market has mainly impacted new properties and has not yet affected high-quality business centers with a stable tenant pool.”
